        The National Service Scheme was started by the Government of India in the year 1969, the birth centennial of Mahatma Gandhi, with the intention that social responsibility, consciousness, self-motivated discipline, and respect for labour should arise in the students associated with higher education. Students should do social service to make good use of their free time and leisure and can also do interviews with real situations for the completion of their education. So that their personality develops.

The National Service Scheme in this college was started in 1982-83 as 100 (hundred) common units. Volunteers who complete the course are given 'B' and 'C' certificates.

SYMBOL OF NSS:

The insignia of the National Service Scheme is based on the chariot wheel of the Konark Sun Temple in Odisha. The huge cycles of the Sun Temple represent the cycles of creation, protection, and liberation, and the importance of the movement of life beyond time and space. The design of the emblem is a simplified form of the wheel of the sun chariot, mainly representing movement. It denotes continuity, striving to move forward to bring change and advancement in society.

The chariot in Surya Mandir has 24 wheels. Each wheel has eight spokes, which represent eight prahars, so the person who wears this badge reminds him that he is working day and night for the service of the nation for 24 hours (eight hours). Be prepared, because the red in the badge indicates that the N.S.S. There is full enthusiasm in its volunteers, and they are alive, active, and have energy in them. The dark blue color indicates the universe, of which Rasyo is a small part and is ready to contribute to the welfare of mankind.
